Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting serves to elect new officers and to revisit coalition goals and strategies.  The event has become beneficial in gaining new support (both members and resources) for the Coalition.  Youth With Vision, which serves as our Youth Advisory Council, also presents the Legislator of the Year award at this event.  

The Annual Meeting is well attended by community leaders and elected officials who are not able to regularly attend monthly meetings.  This program keeps them abreast of our programs, goals and priority “issues” as well as serves as a media draw to get our name and programs out to the public. 

Every two years the program includes a “candidate’s forum” which has proven to be an excellent way to gain legislative support for our issues.
