.........................................................................................

Kearney-Holt CAN is one of the original trained teams under the MO 100 initiative and was restructured in 1993 under CAN. Kearney – Holt CAN members include many segments of the community wheel from the Kearney and Holt area.
Kearney – Holt CAN has developed strategies that make every effort to include the entire population, from pre-school children to Senior Citizens, and to involve every component (business, faith, civic, school, parents, students, city, county, law enforcement, health, etc.) of the community. The programs are well integrated and designed to support one another.
Major programs include:
- AFTERhOURS Program
- Community Educational and Awareness Programs
- Project Respect
- Rachel’s Challenge
- Blossoming Readers Program
- Developmental Assets – Raising Successful Children
- Parenting with Love and Logic
- Community Wide Social Marketing Campaigns
- Underage Drinking Video and Speaker’s Bureau.
The community has been very supportive of these programs. As a result, we have accomplished numerous successful outcomes that include:
- Open House Parties Ordinance
- These ordinances were passed prior to becoming state laws.
